IIt’s never too early to plan vacation celebrations, especially when you want to book a good place to enjoy Texas’s favorite reason, drink margaritas, eat tacos, and listen to live mariachi bands. Cinco de Mayo, the annual celebration of the Mexican Army’s victory at the Battle of Puebla, lands on a Wednesday this year, but some places keep the celebrations going throughout the week.

This chic Mexican restaurant in the Harwood District is celebrating the Cinco de Mayo for six days. From May 1-8, Te Deseo will be offering $ 7 worth of sangrias and frozen beverage specialties. Also on May 1st there is a DJ on the roof from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., Sunset Salsa on May 2 at 7 p.m. and a DJ on May 5 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

On May 5th, this downtown patio favorite is hosting a Cinco de Mayo celebration from 5pm to 10pm. In addition to live entertainment from a local mariachi group, a DJ and a live band, there is drink and food specialties. These include $ 4 Dos XX, $ 8 frozen margaritas, $ 8 rock margaritas, $ 8 ranch water, as well as Tacos Al Pastor Specials, Paleteros (ice cream sold out of a wagon), and Eloteros (elots sold out of a wagon).

This brand new Tex-Mex spot from Kyle Noonan of The Rustic will be opening on May 5th (Cinco de Mayo). There will be a mariachi band, a DJ, mini donkeys, a pop-up bar, golden tacos and of course fajitas and margaritas.

Celebrate the Cinco de Mayo weekend at Plano’s Legacy Food Hall with tacos, margs and live music.

On May 1st, the Cinco de Mayo celebration will take place in this Plano dining room from 1.30 p.m. Chilangos tacos, tequila and live music await you all day. There will also be a giant 11-foot piñata provided by the Living Young Wellness Spa. The entertainment program includes Squeezebox Bandits (Tex-Mex Country Band), traditional Mexican dances by Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, Fusión Latina and finally Havana NRG at 8pm. The waterproof The Statler is one of the newest and hottest pools in Dallas.
